This is an unusual shot for me in that I’ve changed the photo with a little judicious post-processing. It’s a picture of one of the big baubles hanging in Grand Arcade but then I’ve applied a radial blur to the background whilst keeping the subject itself in sharp focus. I think it works but is it cheating?
I posted this on Cambridge Camera Club’s Lightbox and one fellow member said ‘the people wearing red make the image by tying it all together’. Such is serendipity!
The original photo was taken with my Samsung Galaxy s20 FE 1/50th at f2.2 ISO 125 and a ’35mm focal length equivalent’ of 13mm. I’ve given it a square crop and, as noted above, given the background a radial blur.
