I’m still not being diligent in staying up to date with these posts so here’s two from this summer
July
I spent a day at a Steampunk event at the East Anglian Railway Museum. Lots of Steampunks themselves dressed up for photographs but this guy was just there to drive his Traction Engine. This photo was taken with my Sony A7 III DSLR; 1/200 at f5.6 and ISO 100, and a focal length of 75mm.
August
I was walking to my car at the end of a Cambridge Camera Club photo walk when I chanced upon this guy with his mate whom I guess was making YouTube videos.
This photo was taken with my Sony A7 III DSLR; 1/125 at f8 and ISO 640, and a focal length of 78mm.
I could have been more careful with the settings and maybe taken a couple more shots but it was late in the day and it wasn’t for me to tell him how to pose. The shot was exposed for the background and then I added 2.5 stops to the exposure of the subject. It seems to work!
