Photo of the month: December 2025

This is a Xmas day shot taken in the kitchen at Alex and Clare’s house. Alex was cooking the Xmas lunch and I stood by to give him advice. I was looking for a photo that conveyed the sensation of ‘heat’. Does this one work?

It was taken using my Sony RX100 VII 1/60th at f5 and ISO3200 and a 35mm equivalent zoom of 24mm. There’s been a little post and I worry that in achieving a better tonal balance it’s taken a little heat out of the picture.
