Photos of the month: September 2024

I’m still playing catch up so this is still a month or so late. It’s a classic example of grab an opportunity before it’s gone. I was having lunch at Tawa Lounge and saw this splendid hearse pull up outside as it waited for the lights to change. I managed to fire up my phone quickly enough and got this very pleasing shot. It was a wet day to the coachman and undertaker would both have got quite a soaking.

This shot was taken using my Samsung Galaxy s20 FE 1/280th at f1.8 ISO 40 and a ’35mm focal length equivalent’ of 26mm. It’s had a bit of post processing to blur the background.
