Photo of the Month: May 2023

Lots to choose this month with a trip to Italy from which this one comes. It’s a view down the length of the Great Hall in the impressive Venaria Reale near Turin. It’s 80m long and generally full of people. As I was leaving I Iooked back and it was almost empty with just a knot of people at the far end to give it a sense of scale.

This photograph was taken with my Sony A7 III, 125th and f10 with ISO800. The zoom was set at 28mm. There’s been very minor post-processing to add a little punch to the original RAW file but I confess to running it through Lightroom’s impressive new denoise option.
