Photo of the Month: March 2023 (and February)

Sometimes the choice is just rather easy and so it is for March, 2023. This is number one granddaughter at the Van Gogh ‘immersive’ in York. It’s a hand held shot and was a quick take as Amelia turned to face me. I’m rather pleased with it.

This photograph was taken with my Sony A7 III, 125th and f3.5 with ISO1600 (!). The zoom was set at 50mm. There’s been very minor post-processing to add a little punch to the original RAW file.

And somehow I forgot February and I really like this ‘still life’ with the colours and texture of the tulips set against our ‘feature wall’ in the kitchen area.

This is a phone shot and was taken with my Samsung 20E, 1/50th at f1.8 and ISO640. the only post-processing was the removal of a chair in the background. Pity about the radiator!
